“Great workmanship”

“Great workmanship and very easy process from booking an inspection and then getting a termite system installed. Jarred the installer was great and very professional in the process and answered all my questions and did a great job”

“Great Job!”

Rating

“Randall visited this morning. What a refreshing change to have a young man visit who knew how to please his client. Went out of his way to examine every corner of our property, above and below, leaving no piece of wood unturned. Sat down and explained his report, answered questions. Left us satisfied our abode was safe from termites. Hope to see him again, great job.”

Termite Treatment in Adelaide

Australia and Adelaide has the most destructive termites in the world, also called white ants, causing hundreds of millions of dollars of damage to homes and business each year, more than fire and flood combined. It’s estimated that one in five homes have had termites attack, including brick and steel-framed houses.

Termites continually and randomly forage from their nest in under ground tunnels in search of timber and other materials that contain cellulose. Termites gain entry into our houses through tiny cracks and crevices in, under and around your home.

So how can you protect your home from the threat of termites?

The first step is to arrange a Termite Inspection as recommended by the Australian Standards and CSIRO performed by our Qualified Termite Technicians to determine the risk of termite attack. If you know you have termites or would like preventative protection, we can arrange a free no obligation assessment and proposal for our Termite Control Options.

Termite Inspection

At Allstate Pest Control we perform our Termite and White Ant Inspections in accordance with the Australian Standards by our Qualified Termite Technicians ensuring you receive an inspection report you can rely on. Termite inspections are key in the early detection of termite attack, when performing the inspection, we also report on conditions that make your home more susceptible to attack and recommend ways you can minimise the risk.

The Australian Standards and CSIRO recommend a termite inspection is performed on at least an annual basis and in some cases more frequent inspections maybe necessary depending on the risk of termite attack.

The Allstate Termite Inspection Service

Our Termite Technician use their experience and the on-going professional training we provide to carry out the most comprehensive inspection. While every home and property is unique we have developed a set checklist ensuring nothing is missed, before starting the inspection our Technician will talk you through the process.

  • Interior – each room within the interior is checked top to bottom including doorframes, skirting boards, cupboards, floor surfaces and wall surfaces using a moisture metre, sounding tool and screwdriver.
  • Roof void – where possible we gain access to the roof void thoroughly checking over the timbers using sounding tool and screwdriver.
  • Subfloor – where present we highly recommend inspection of the subfloor spaces, most termite attack starts in homes and properties with subfloors. Access is gained by either cutting traps into the floor or by using our Borescope Technology to check for signs of termite entry.
  • Exterior – the full perimeter of the house is inspected from the foundation edge to the fascia boards and everything in between using a sounding tool and screwdriver.
  • Outbuildings – each and every outbuilding is inspected inside and out using a sounding tool and screwdriver.
  • Grounds – the grounds of the house are inspected from landscaping timbers, gardens beds, trees, stumps and the fence line

On completion of the Termite Inspection Service our Termite Technician will explain the findings to you, then a detailed report is posted or emailed to you including photos and proposals for any Termite Control recommendations.

Pre Purchase Timber Pest Inspection

Buying a house is the biggest purchase most people will ever make. Even if you have a building inspection, it does not cover timber pests. Only an experienced Termite & Pest Control Professional completing a timber pest inspection report covering subterranean termites (“White Ants”), borers of seasoned timber and wood decay fungi will do.

We will inspect the building and provide a comprehensive report on the following:

  • Evidence of timber pests
  • Severity of damage caused
  • Susceptibility of building to infestation
  • Remedial and protective measures required
  • Further investigations required

Unless otherwise instructed, we conduct a non-invasive visual inspection of areas susceptible to attack by timber pest within the property boundaries.

Performed by our professional licensed inspectors, Allstate Pre Purchase Inspections are fully prepared, then emailed or faxed on the same day of inspection, exceeding the Australian Standard 4349.3.

Termite Control

At Allstate Pest Control we provide a number of treatment choices to protect your home from subterranean termites and white ants. We continually research, test products and techniques to make sure you get the best possible results, we recommend the use of Sentricon AlwaysActive and Premise for our termite treatments.

First, We Gather All the Facts So You Get the Right Solution.

Every home and property is different, with Allstate Pest Control there is no “one size fits all” approach to termite control. First a Termite Technician will thoroughly assess your home, inside and out, in order to identify the right approach for the needs of your home. We consider factors like the termite species, the degree of the infestation, the construction method and materials, environmental conditions, cosmetic considerations and of course your budget. We then supply you with detailed proposals outlining what and how we will perform your Termite Control Service.

Allstate Termite Warranty

All our recommended Termite Control Services come backed by the best warranties in the business and are detailed in your proposal from Re-Treatment Warranties to our Timber Replacement Warranty.

Sentricon AlwaysActive

Sentricon® AlwaysActive™ is the new and very different way of continuously protecting your home against termites, harnessing the natural behaviour and biology of termites, together with a highly effective termiticide. Sentricon AlwaysActive is a highly effective solution that offers the safety of a baiting system and the continuous protection of a chemical barrier. Sentricon AlwaysActive is a unique and environmentally sensitive termite control system that protects your home all day, every day from day one. Eliminating termites before they are even discovered.

How does Sentricon AlwaysActive Work

Installed strategically and discreetly around the home in the prime foraging areas, the Sentricon station provides a window into the world of the termites. The random and continuous foraging of the termites will be directed to the In-Ground stations.

The stations contain Sentricon IG Termiticide Rods which the termites find more palatable and more attractive than wood. The termites feed on the termiticide rods on mass, tunnel back to the nest all the while unaware that it is detrimental to their survival. The active ingredient in Sentricon AlwaysActive is what’s called an insect growth regulator, which means it is specific and deadly to termites, but safe to you and your family. Termites periodically shed their skin (moult), and this process is interrupted once ingestion of the Sentricon AlwaysActive occurs. An inability to moult results in the death of the workers, and ultimately leads to the elimination of the entire colony.

Premise Treated Zones

Premise is a non-repellant termiticide suited to South Australian construction methods and environmental conditions. When termites pass through the Premise “Treated Zone”, they stop feeding, become disorientated, cease grooming and begin to neglect their environment. Soon, naturally occurring fungi and micro organisms in the soil take their toll, with the termites becoming fatally diseased and then die.

All of this takes place with minimal environmental impact. Although Premise is lethal to termites, its specific mode of action is non-hazardous for humans, pets and wildlife.

New Home Termite Protection

At Allstate Pest Control we understand the importance of ensuring your new home isn’t damaged by termite attack and that the building process can be a stressful. We have a dedicated Pre-Construction Division headed up by Aaron Thompson a Licensed Builder with a carpentry trade, construction supervision experience and a Full Pest Controllers License giving you peace of mind that we understand what you need.

We understand termite behaviour and South Australian construction methods. We have been safely and effectively protecting South Australian homes from termite attack for over two decades. To protect these homes we use a range of premium products and application methods to ensure the Termite Management Systems installed gives your customer the best protection possible.

Our expert team is ready to help you now  or

What you need to know about termite inspections from your home or business…

How do I know if I have termites?

Due to termites being secretive by nature it’s often very hard to know they are there and it’s only until the damage is done or the infestation is out of hand that you notice. Some signs of their presence are mud tunnelling against door frames & skirting boards, specks of mud on walls and soft spots on floors.

I have a new home. Am I right that termites won’t bother me?

Termites can infest a building at any-time even during its construction, regular termite inspections are highly recommended at least annually by the Australian Standards.

How do you do a termite inspection?

Our Technicians have a set routine when inspecting a home to ensure nothing is missed. They begin with the internals, sounding timbers and walls, to running a Moisture Meter over timbers to detect unusual levels of moisture which can indicate termite activity. They then check the under floors (where applicable) by accessing the subfloor via traps or using the Optic Fibre Borescope Technology to detect evidence of termite entry. Following this they inspect the roof void, external perimeter, outbuildings, grounds, trees, landscaping timbers and fence line again sounding timbers and checking for the presence of activity.

I have timber floors should I have an underfloor inspection as well?

Yes, where you have timbers floors and an underfloor void called a subfloor it is highly recommended this area is inspected due to being the most likely termite entry point. We inspect this area typically via traps cut in the floor boards or by Optic Fibre Borescope Technology which only requires a small hole the size of a two dollar coin. We then seal the hole using colour matched plugs, these points can be used for future inspection.

What will be included in my termite inspection report?

Our Termite Inspection Reports are broken up into the key areas of your home including Photographs of findings and details of what was inspected, what couldn’t be inspected & why, evidence of termite activity & damage and conditions increasing the risk of attack. The report also covers recommendations for treatment, further invasive inspection where required and recommended future frequency of inspection.

What happens if termites are found during the inspection?

If termite activity or damage is detected during the inspection the Technician will recommend treatment options and have a detailed proposal submitted with a copy of the report for Termite Control to be arranged.

How often should I have my house inspected for termites?

There are a range of factors that could impact on the frequency of inspection for a house against termites. At the very least an inspection annually is highly recommended by the Australian Standards.
